Terms & Conditions

Thank you for trusting Pawesome Pet Sitting to care for your pets and your home. These Terms & Conditions are designed to ensure clarity, safety, and peace of mind for everyone involved.
By confirming a booking, you agree to the following:
1. Our Services
We provide in-home pet sitting services, which means we stay in your home and care for your pets in their familiar environment.
Services may include:
● Feeding and fresh water
● Exercise and walks (as agreed)
● Administration of routine medication (if discussed and agreed in advance)
● Brushing
● Companionship and supervision
● Cleaning up after pets
● Light home care (mail collection, plant watering, bins)
We will always follow the written care instructions you provide and treat your pets and home with respect.
2. Bookings & Payments
● A booking is confirmed once agreed in writing and the required deposit is received.
● A deposit of 20% secures your dates.
● Full payment is due no later than 2 days before the booking begins, unless otherwise arranged.
This ensures your dates are reserved exclusively for you.
3. Cancellation Policy
We understand that plans can change. Our cancellation terms are:
● More than 14 days before the booking start date: Full refund.
● 7–14 days before the booking start date: 50% refund of the total booking fee.
● Less than 7 days before the booking start date: 25% refund (75% of the booking fee remains payable).
If you return home early, unused days may be non-refundable as the dates were reserved for you.
If we ever need to cancel due to emergency or unforeseen circumstances, you will receive a full refund.
Your rights under Australian Consumer Law remain unaffected.
4. Pet Health & Wellbeing
Your pet’s wellbeing is our priority.
Before the booking begins, you confirm that:
● All pets are up to date with required vaccinations (where applicable).
● All pets are up to date with flea, tick, and worming treatments.
● Pets are free from contagious illness.
If fleas, ticks, worms, or contagious conditions are discovered during the booking, we may need to arrange treatment promptly to protect the pets and the home. Any veterinary or pest treatment costs will be the owner’s responsibility.
5. Veterinary Care & Emergencies
In the unlikely event your pet becomes unwell or injured:
● We will contact you immediately.
● If we cannot reach you and urgent care is required, we are authorised to seek veterinary treatment.
All veterinary expenses are the responsibility of the pet owner.
We will always act in your pet’s best interests and in accordance with NSW animal welfare laws.
6. Your Home
We will treat your home with care and respect.
You agree to provide:
● A safe and secure environment
● Working utilities (electricity, water, etc.)
● Secure fencing for dogs
● Clear written care instructions
● Emergency contact details
You remain responsible for home and contents insurance.
7. Behaviour & Safety
For everyone’s safety, you must disclose:
● Any history of aggression or biting
● Anxiety behaviours or escape tendencies
● Any previous incidents involving your pet
If a pet poses a serious safety risk that was not disclosed, we may need to end the booking early. In such circumstances, refunds may not apply.
8. Liability
We take our responsibilities seriously and exercise reasonable care at all times.
However, pets are animals and unpredictable situations can arise. To the extent permitted by law:
● We are not responsible for illness, injury, escape, or loss unless caused by proven negligence.
● We are not responsible for damage caused by pets to property or third parties.
Nothing in this agreement excludes your rights under Australian Consumer Law.
9. Insurance
We maintain appropriate public liability insurance for in-home pet sitting services in NSW.
We recommend that owners maintain current:
● Pet insurance
● Home and contents insurance
10. Keys & Security
Keys and access information are stored securely and used only for your booking.
Please inform us of:
● Alarm systems
● Cameras
● Anyone else who may access the property during our stay
11. Privacy
Your personal information is handled in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth) and used only for service provision and emergencies.
We respect your confidentiality.
If you agree, photos may be taken of your pet and used on our social media or website for marketing purposes.
12. Unforeseen Events
We are not liable for delays or service interruption caused by events outside our control, such as:
● Severe weather
● Bushfires or natural disasters
● Government restrictions
● Transport disruptions
13. Agreement
By confirming your booking, you acknowledge that you:
● Have read and understood these Terms & Conditions
● Agree to them
● Confirm that all information provided about your pet and property is accurate
